G.A.P.S. has a new name!
"Northwest Regional ESD Foundation"
Soon we’ll officially be called the Northwest Regional ESD Foundation, a move meant that will clarify our affiliation with the and make it easier for people to understand who we are and what we do!
2013 BENEFIT AUCTION RECAP:
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Seventh Annual Benefit Auction on May 2, 2013, for a FABULOUS night!
A special thank you to our guest of honor, Gavin Traum and his family! Gavin's sweet face is the only reminder we need as to why we give so much of our time and talents to make this event so successful every year.
The Northwest Regional ESD Foundaton exists because of the combined generosity of our Board of Trustees, our donors, and our volunteers. Together you helped us raise $21,500 in proceeds that will fund our fall 2013 mini-grant offering! In addition, our guests donated $16,000 for play equipment at the Woodside Early Childhood Center in Beaverton*.
Woodside serves 400 children ages 3-5 with varying degrees of disability including autism, hearing and visual impairments, speech/language needs, and those who are medically fragile.
The facility is staffed by highly skilled and dedicated people and it’s well designed and appointed but missing one crucial thing—an outdoor play structure. There is a private day care center adjacent to the facility with a ‘real’ playground, that Woodside kids can only watch wishfully through the fence.
