Thank you to everyone who participated in our Seventh Annual Benefit Auction on May 2, for a FABULOUS night!
G.A.P.S. exists because of the combined generosity of our Board of Trustees, our donors, and our volunteers.
A special thank you to our guest of honor, Gavin Traum and his family! Gavin's sweet face is the only reminder we need as to why we give so much of our time and talents to make this event so successful every year.
Together we raised over $16,000 for play equipment at the Woodside Early Childhood Center in Beaverton*. In addition, proceeds from the event will help support the foundation's grant program to educators working with young children and students with special needs and those who are at risk in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, and Washington counties.
THANK YOU!
*SPECIAL APPEAL
Woodside serves 400 children ages 3-5 with varying degrees of disability including autism, hearing and visual impairments, speech/language needs, and those who are medically fragile.
The facility is staffed by highly skilled and dedicated people and it’s well designed and appointed but missing one crucial thing—an outdoor play structure. There is a private day care center adjacent to the facility with a ‘real’ playground, that Woodside kids can only watch wishfully through the fence.
